How to join 21st Century Warfare

STEP 1: Joining the Forums

Visit this link and register your account on the MyIS Tournaments forums. Your intended user name must be exactly the same as your in-game Battlefield Bad Company 2 name, with the prefix [21CW]. The prefix will be used until you are assigned to an army and company within the tournament.

You will be sent an activation e-mail, so please make sure you follow the instructions and check your Junk/Spam e-mail folders. Please send a PM to [MyIS]JamesBond007 if you have not received your e-mail.

STEP 2: Joining a Division

Once registered on the forums, next on the agenda is joining an army.

You will be given the option to go Random for free. If you already have friends in here you wanna play together with, don't try random. Go here and you can pay to pick your army - http://myinternetservices.com/tourna...hp?styleid=103. If you do not have a chance to pay the 5$, you can request a sponsorship here: http://myinternetservices.com/tourna...CW-Sponsorship. If you are comfortable with either side just hit the button Go Random . You are done! Just wait for the confirmation and you are away.

So condensed: log in with your just registered acount, then go to this link to ENLIST with an army.



STEP 3: Reporting in to your division

Once you have joined an army you MUST sign in to the army HQ.

Once you can see the army forums, you must locate the new members sign-in thread, this can be found in the New Recruits forum. Follow the instructions in that forum, you will have to reply to a sign in thread and provide some basic information about yourself.

Your post will then be edited by a HCO to let you know what company you have been assigned to. Please note that no new post will be made. It is your responsibility to keep checking back to your sign-in post to see what your orders are.



STEP 4: Changing your username to match your army

While you are waiting for your assignment, go ahead and change your forum name to reflect your in-game username and army details. You can do this by going to your Settings.

Use the scenarios below to decide how to set your username. Bear in mind that the main part of your username should be the same as your in-game BF2 name.

Registered but not assigned an army
[21CW]InGameName

Registered, assigned an army but not a company
[1ID]?|Rec.InGameName
or
[29AD]?|Rec.InGameName

Registered, assigned an army and a company
[ARMY]COMPANY|Rec.InGameName

Army is your Army ID, e.g. [1ID] or [29AD].
Company is normally the 1st letter of your assigned company, e.g. A for Alpha.
All new players start with the rank of Rec unless otherwise notified.

So, for a new recruit named jones in Alpha company, in the 1st Infantry Division, your username would be [1ID]A|Rec.jones

If you are, or have been, part of the armed forces, you are entitled to replace the [ and ] with ( ) around your brigade tags.

In BFBC2 you must set your prefix (clan tags) to your army tags as above, e.g. "1ID" or "29AD".



STEP 5: Connecting to Teamspeak (TS)

Next on the agenda is to log on to TeamSpeak. If you don't already have it, get it here: TS3 DOWNLOAD

Once you have the program installed and running, click on Bookmarks and then Add Bookmark.

Fill the empty fields like in the picture below and hit Apply

Now click on Bookmarks again and then on the Server you just created to connect to the MyIS Tournaments Teamspeak 3 Server.

Make sure you put your division tags in front of your name ([1ID]Name, [29AD]Name).

STEP 6: 21CW Game Requirements

To play with us here at 21st Century Warfare you need a legal PC version of EA's Battlefield Bad Company 2 with a working online key.

Make sure you have your game patched to the latest version.
